Callyn and Sam first met as classmates in their CU Boulder graduate program. While studying global food supply chains was very interesting, Sam could not help being a bit distracted by the long brown hair falling playfully across his desk. The hair of course belonged to Callyn, and the ensuing flirtation was a simple start to their great love.

After a snowy dog-walk first date, a Halloween party with fellow grad students, and a concert held by a rad 80's cover band, it became clear that their shared interests and natural chemistry was too much to ignore, and in October of 2017 they began dating officially.

Fast forward through graduation, exhausting job hunts, a dozen trips chauffeuring Henry to and from the Midwest, more job hunting, a rented camper van bottoming out and sticking in a California redwood forest, numerous Denver date nights and backyard grill outs, breathtaking hikes and paddles and ski runs, perfectly toasted marshmallows and enough pasta to feed an army division, thousands of kisses and hugs and tears and moments of all-encompassing love, Callyn and Sam decided to finally tie the knot. Sam proposed to Callyn on Saturday, July 29th near Vail, Colorado in a field of wildflowers.

Sam and Callyn are looking forward to a marriage full of adventure, unconditional love, belly laughter, dog hair, and homemade pasta. They are thrilled to include their favorite people in the celebration of their marriage, and can't wait to be The Henkes!
